The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is a full service law enforcement agency serving Lake City and Columbia County.
     
  As an independent constitutional officer, the Sheriff is responsible for providing primary law enforcement services for Lake City and Columbia County as well as criminal enforcement, civil process serving, victim/witness servers, court security, prisoner transportation, crime lab servers, fugitive apprehensions, school security, and crowd control at public events.

  The Sheriff is also responsible for the administration and operation of the Columbia County Detention Center.   

  The Columbia County Detention Center is located off Highway 441 North on Quinten Street.
